Patson obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree in 2016 at the University of Pretoria. During the completion of his undergraduate studies, Patson was recognised for his academic achievements and inducted on the Dean’s Merit List.

Patson then went on to complete his postgraduate studies and obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Corporate Law at the University of Pretoria in 2019. His dissertation topic was: “A comparative analysis of piercing the corporate veil in English Law and South African Law”. During the completion of his postgraduate studies, Patson further excelled in his academics by being invited to become a lifetime Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for Academic Achievement. Further, he was recognised for achieving the highest mark in his class for the module ‘Company Law’.

Patson joined Honey Attorneys as a candidate legal practitioner (i.e., candidate attorney) in January 2021. Patson was then admitted to practice as a Legal Practitioner and Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in February 2023.

As an Associate in the Corporate, Commercial and Property department, Patson advises on a wide range of commercial and estate planning transactions.

In addition, Patson possess noteworthy experience in Legal Technology and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal industry.
